     Ivone Kirkpatrick of Closeburn is the son of William de Kirkpatrick.2 He married Euphemia Bruce, daughter of Sir Robert de Brus, Lord of Annandale.1
     On 15 August 1232 he obtained a confirmatory charter of the lands of Closeburn from King Alexander II.1

     Alexander Kirkpatrick was born on 1 August 1714.1 He was the son of Major George Kirkpatrick.1 He married Elizabeth Henderson on 26 April 1740 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He died on 17 August 1791 at age 77.2
     He lived at Drumcondra, Donacomper, County Kildare, Ireland.2
