Francis Fawkes Johnstone, son of Lt.-Gen. Montague Cholmeley Johnstone and Leonora Louisa Somerset, on 10 February 1887.1 She died on 27 July 1910.1
     From before 1887, her married name became Gregg.1 From 10 February 1887, her married name became Johnstone.

Francis Fawkes Johnstone and Harriet Lavinia Sargent.2 He married, firstly, Laura Mary Hemans, daughter of Lt.-Col. Willoughby B Hemans, on 28 November 1912.1 He and Laura Mary Hemans were divorced in 1927.1 He married, secondly, Nina de Sventorgetsky, daughter of Colonel Valentine de Sventorgetsky, in 1928.1 He died in 1942.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders.1 He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1
