     Charles Philipps Johnstone was born on 6 November 1780.1 He was the son of Charles John Johnstone and Mary Beddoe.2 He married Frances Harrison, daughter of James Harrison, on 26 October 1807.1 He died on 8 March 1863 at age 82.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd King’s Own Dragoon Guards.1
