He graduated from Wadham College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was a Fellow between 1864 and 1880 at Wadham College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 In 1873 Modern Gothic Architecture.1 He wrote the book Dalmatia, the Quarnero, and Istria, published 1887.1 He was an architect (a pupil of Sir George Gilbert Scott), with projects including the Oxford Examination Schools, restoration of the Bodleian, new buildings for Balliol, Brasenose, Corpus, Hertford, Lincoln and Trinity Colleges, a new Radcliffe Library, Somerville College, at Cambridge Sedgwick Memorial Museum and Archaeological Museum, and restorations at Longleat, Eltham Palace, Bath Abbey, Christchurch Priory and Winchester Cathedral as well as new buildings for Inner Temple, Eton, Harrow, Westminster and Rugby.1 He wrote the book Wadham College, Oxford: its History and Architecture, published 1893.1 He was registered as a Royal Academy in 1896.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1911.1 He wrote the book Byzantine and Romanesque Architecture, published 1913.1 He was created 1st Baronet Jackson, of Eagle House, Wimbledon, co.
