Admiral Sir Richard Hughes, 2nd Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hughes, of East Bergholt, co. Suffolk [G.B., 1773] on 23 September 1780.1 He was 2ic of the under Lord Howe at the Relief of Gibraltar.1 In 1782 he took the Solitaire and won a victory over the French off Barbados.1 He gained the rank of Admiral of the Red.1 He had three sons and another daughter.3
