     George Woodruffe married Elizabeth Hannay, daughter of Sir Samuel Hannay of Mochrum and of Kirkdale, 3rd Bt. and Mary Mead.¹

     Lt.-Col. Hon. Francis Grosvenor Hood was born on 4 March 1809.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Francis Wheler Hood and Caroline Hamond.² He married Elizabeth Jane Hamond, daughter of Admiral Sir Graham Eden Hamond, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Kimber, on 8 September 1842.¹ He died on 18 October 1854 at age 45 at Sebastopol, Russia, killed in action in the trenches, without issue.¹
     He was granted by royal licence the rank of viscount’s younger son.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He fought in the Crimean War.¹

     Admiral Sir Graham Eden Hamond, 2nd Bt. was born on 30 December 1779 at Newman Street, London, England.² He was the son of Sir Andrew Snape Hamond, 1st Bt. and Anne Graeme.^3,2 He married Elizabeth Kimber, daughter of John Kimber, on 30 December 1806.² He died on 20 December 1862 at age 82 at Norton Lodge, Freshwater, Isle of Wight, England.²
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) on 4 June 1815.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hamond [G.B., 1783] on 12 October 1828.³ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 13 September 1831.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the Isle of Wight.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Norfolk.³ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) on 5 July 1855.² He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet on 10 November 1862.²

     Elizabeth Jane Hamond was the daughter of Admiral Sir Graham Eden Hamond, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Kimber.^2,3 She married Lt.-Col. Hon. Francis Grosvenor Hood, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Francis Wheler Hood and Caroline Hamond, on 8 September 1842.¹ She died on 15 January 1910.¹
     From 8 September 1842, her married name became Hood.

     Hon. Caroline Hood was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Francis Wheler Hood and Caroline Hamond.² She married Arthur Francis Gregory, son of Francis Gregory and Frances Grote, on 25 February 1834.¹ She died on 9 May 1890.¹
     From 25 February 1834, her married name became Gregory. She was granted by royal licence the rank of viscount’s daughter.¹

     Arthur Francis Gregory was born on 29 October 1792 at Styvechale, Warwickshire, England.² He was the son of Francis Gregory and Frances Grote.² He married Hon. Caroline Hood, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Francis Wheler Hood and Caroline Hamond, on 25 February 1834.¹ He died on 27 February 1853 at age 60.²
     He lived at Styvichall, Warwickshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the 4th Queen’s Own Dragooons.² He fought in the Peninsular Wars.²

     Margaret Hannay was the daughter of Sir Samuel Hannay of Mochrum and of Kirkdale, 3rd Bt. and Mary Mead.¹ She died, without issue.¹

     Thomas Chatto was born in 1865 at St. Pancras, London, England^G.¹ He married Helen Francis Laybourn circa 1888 at Edmonton, London, England^G.¹ He died in 1929 at St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹
     He was a book-seller.¹

     Helen Francis Laybourn was born in 1870 at Highgate, London, England^G.¹ She married Thomas Chatto circa 1888 at Edmonton, London, England^G.¹ She died in 1948 at Watford, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹
     From circa 1888, her married name became Chatto.¹

     Helen Josephine Chatto was born in 1889 at Hornsey, London, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Chatto and Helen Francis Laybourn.¹
