He was granted by royal licence the rank of viscount’s younger son.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.1 He fought in the Crimean War.1
Admiral Sir Graham Eden Hamond, 2nd Bt.1 
He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) on 4 June 1815.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hamond [G.B., 1783] on 12 October 1828.3 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 13 September 1831.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the Isle of Wight.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Norfolk.3 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) on 5 July 1855.2 He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet on 10 November 1862.2
