     Timothy Gilbert Culcheth Holcroft was born on 2 June 1934.1 He was the son of John Culcheth Holcroft and Beatrice Mathewson Feathers.2 He married, firstly, Joanna Eve Bonham-Carter, daughter of Admiral Sir Stuart Sumner Bonham-Carter, on 5 June 1958.1 He married, secondly, Charmian Joy Gold, daughter of Major Harcourt Michael Scudamore Gold and Hon. Jocelyne Mary Boot, in 1982.1 He died on 23 December 2011 at age 77.3
     He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 11th Hussars (PAO.)1
