Thomas Fitzgerald, 10th Earl of Kildare1 

Thomas Fitzgerald, 10th Earl of Kildare was born in 1513.1 He was the son of Gerald FitzGerald, 9th Earl of Kildare and Elizabeth Zouche.1 He married Frances Fortescue, daughter of Sir Adrian Fortescue, before December 1529.1 He died on 3 February 1536/37 at Tower of London, The City, London, EnglandG, beheaded.1
Thomas Fitzgerald, 10th Earl of Kildare also went by the nick-name of ‘Silken Thomas’.1 On 11 June 1534 he came out in rebellion against the Crown.1 He succeeded as the 10th Earl of Kildare [I., 1316] on 13 December 1534.1 On 5 August 1535 he submitted to the Lord Deputy of ireland, and was sent to the Tower of London.1 On 1 May 1536 his Earldom was forfeited by attainder.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3
