     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Milborne Port between 1734 and 1763.¹ He was Commissioner for Licensing Hawkers and Pedlars between 1742 and 1747.¹ He lived at Ven House, Milborne Port, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Anthony Ettrick lived at High Barnes, County Durham, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Ettrick was the daughter of Anthony Ettrick.² She married, firstly, Musgrave Davidson before 1731.¹ She married, secondly, Thomas Medlicott, son of James Medlicott and Ann Howard, on 16 June 1731.¹ She died on 15 June 1741.¹
     From before 1731, her married name became Davidson.¹ From 16 June 1731, her married name became Medlicott.

     Thomas Medlicott was born circa 1731.¹ He was the son of Thomas Medlicott and Elizabeth Ettrick.² He died on 13 July 1741, without issue.¹

     Elizabeth Medlicott was the daughter of James Medlicott and Ann Howard.² She married John Hutchings, son of Samuel Hutchings, on 20 April 1726.¹ She died on 18 June 1757.¹
     From 20 April 1726, her married name became Hutchings.

     John Hutchings was the son of Samuel Hutchings.² He married Elizabeth Medlicott, daughter of James Medlicott and Ann Howard, on 20 April 1726.¹ He died on 3 July 1774.¹
     He was a practising attorney.¹ He lived at Sherborne, Dorset, England^G.¹

     Thomas Medlycott was born in September 1729.¹ He was the son of John Hutchings and Elizabeth Medlicott.² He married Jane Coles, daughter of William Coles, on 16 September 1766.¹ He died on 15 May 1795 at age 65.¹
     He was given the name of Thomas Hutchings at birth.¹ He was a practising barrister.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Milborne Port between 1763 and 1770.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Milborne Port in 1780.¹ He lived at Ven House, Milborne Port, Somerset, England^G.¹
