     He was commissioned in 1868 with the rank of Ensign, in the service of the 32nd Foot.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1880.¹ He fought in the Nile Expedition.¹

     Lionel Dalton Inglefield was born circa December 1881 at London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Major Loftus Edward Coore Inglefield and Eleanor Pauncefote.¹ He died circa March 1953 at Bodmin, Cornwall, England^G.¹

     Julian Pauncefote Inglefield was born on 12 March 1883 at Birr, County Offaly, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Major Loftus Edward Coore Inglefield and Eleanor Pauncefote.¹ He died on 20 September 1957 at age 74 at Lakewood, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Samuel Hood Stovin Inglefield was born in 1822.¹ He was the son of Rear-Admiral Samuel Hood Inglefield and Priscilla Margaret Otway.¹ He married Charlotte Coore on 28 June 1847 at Hauxwell, Yorkshire, England.² He died on 6 July 1910.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Charlotte Coore was born circa 1827.¹ She married Samuel Hood Stovin Inglefield, son of Rear-Admiral Samuel Hood Inglefield and Priscilla Margaret Otway, on 28 June 1847 at Hauxwell, Yorkshire, England.² She died in January 1901.¹
     From 28 June 1847, her married name became Inglefield.¹

     Rear-Admiral Samuel Hood Inglefield was born in 1783.¹ He was the son of Captain John Nicholson Inglefield and Ann Smith.¹ He married Priscilla Margaret Otway on 21 October 1816 at St. Martin in the Fields, London, England.² He died on 24 February 1848.¹
     He was Commander-in-Chief of the East Indies and China Station.¹

     Catherine McNabb was born in 1837 at Stirling, Stirlingshire, Scotland^G.¹ She was the daughter of Robert McNabb and Ann Fitzgerald.¹ She married John Allen, son of James Roger Allen and Catherine Brown, in 1861 at Nelson Cathedral, Nelson, New Zealand^G.¹ She died in 1932 at Picton, New Zealand^G.¹
     From 1861, her married name became Allen.¹
