Sir Richard Newton Rycroft, 7th Bt.1
He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Infantry, attached to Special Services in Balkans.2 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1939 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Rycroft, of Calton, co. York [G.B., 1784] on 30 August 1958.2
