     Aimé Timothée Cuénod was born in 1808 at Switzerland^G.³ He married Susan Harriett Elizabeth Churchill, daughter of George Spencer-Churchill, 6th Duke of Marlborough and Harriet Caroline Octavia Spencer, on 9 August 1837 at Prilly, Lausanne, Switzerland^G.⁴ He died in 1882.³
     A website specialising in the history of aviation at Geneva, www.pionnair-ge.com, refers to ‘Les Cuénod, banquiers à Montreux, fondateurs du Club Suisse d’aviation à Genève, etc.,’ and names their bank as la banque Cuénod & Cie. The website says the Cuénod & Cie Bank was taken over by UBS (the Union Bank of Switzerland) after 1920, after the death of Aimé and Susan’s son William.

The 1869 edition of the Baedeker guide for Switzerland the adjacent portions of Italy, Savoy and the Tyrol lists ‘A. Cuénod Churchill, Place du Marché 21’ as one of the banks in ‘Vevay’.^5,6,7 He and Susan Harriett Elizabeth Churchill were founder of the Cuénod-Churchill Bank of Vevey circa 1840.

Mr. Thomas Francis Waller died at his residence, Royalist-road, Mosman, on Thursday last. Deceased, who was a son of the late Mr. John Francis Waller, of Dublin, came to Australia many years ago. He was Government land valuer in New South Wales for a number of years, and was also one of the first Sydney Harbour Trust commissioners.
