     Gertrude Leonora Minchin was born on 5 June 1875 at Lemon Street, New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand^G.¹ She was the daughter of John Minchin and Louisa Watkins.² She married Albert Edward Burwell on 30 August 1897 at Anglican Church, Tariki, Taranaki, New Zealand.³ She died on 12 November 1918 at age 43 at Kaimata, Taranaki, New Zealand^G, from influenza.¹
     From 30 August 1897, her married name became Burwell.³

     Minnie Ellen Minchin was born on 3 October 1882 at Durham Road, Inglewood, Taranaki, New Zealand^G.¹ She was the daughter of John Minchin and Louisa Watkins.² She married Charles Bishop Martin in 1909 at New Zealand.³ She died on 4 August 1964 at age 81 at New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand^G.¹
     From 1909, her married name became Martin.
