Colonel Eden Vansittart1 
He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He raised the 10th Gurkha Rifles in Burma.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 5th Royal Gurkhas.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.1 He was commander of the 8th Service Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment which he raised.1
