     Henry Vansittart was born on 3 November 1816.1 He was the son of Arthur Vansittart and Hon. Caroline Eden.1 He married Mary Amelia Dobbie, daughter of Admiral William Hugh Dobbie and Agatha Shedden Goodrich, in May 1848.1 He died on 13 January 1896 at age 79.1
     He was with the Honourable East India Company Service.1

     Mary Amelia Dobbie was the daughter of Admiral William Hugh Dobbie and Agatha Shedden Goodrich.1,2 She married, firstly, Colonel William Jervis on 20 December 1838 at Old Church, St. Pancras, London, England.1,3 She married, secondly, Henry Vansittart, son of Arthur Vansittart and Hon. Caroline Eden, in May 1848.1 She died on 18 June 1886.1
     From 20 December 1838, her married name became Jervis.1 From May 1848, her married name became Vansittart.1
