     Phoebe Rebecca Elizabeth Elwina Finlay was born on 18 February 1862.2 She was the daughter of John Borland Finlay.1 She married Adolphus Frederick Stuart-Linton, son of Charles Alfred George Stuart-Linton and Margaret MacMahon, on 10 December 1878 at British Embassy, Paris, FranceG.1 She died on 18 February 1944 at age 82.1
     From 10 December 1878, her married name became Stuart-Linton.1
