Richard Tickell was born on 10 September 1785.2 He married, firstly, Mary Anne Proctor in 1803 at Cawnpore, India.2 He married, secondly, Margaret Scott in June 1840 at St. George’s Church, Bloomsbury, London, England.2 He died on 3 August 1855 at age 69 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.2 He was buried at St. Peter’s Church, Leckhampton, Gloucestershire, England.2
He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was commissioned in 1804 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Bengal Engineers.2
