William David Ormsby-Gore, 5th Baron Harlech was born on 20 May 1918.1 He was the son of William George Arthur Ormsby-Gore, 4th Baron Harlech and Lady Beatrice Edith Mildred Gascoyne-Cecil.1 He married, firstly, Sylvia Thomas, daughter of Hugh Lloyd Thomas and Hon. Guendaline Ada Bellew, on 9 February 1940.1 He married, secondly, Pamela Colin, daughter of Ralph F. Colin, on 11 December 1969.1 He died on 26 January 1985 at age 66, following a car crash.1,2

Sylvia Thomas1 
Sylvia Thomas was the daughter of Hugh Lloyd Thomas and Hon. Guendaline Ada Bellew.1,3 She married William David Ormsby-Gore, 5th Baron Harlech, son of William George Arthur Ormsby-Gore, 4th Baron Harlech and Lady Beatrice Edith Mildred Gascoyne-Cecil, on 9 February 1940.1 She died on 30 May 1967, killed in a motor accident.1
Her married name became Ormsby-Gore. After her marriage, Sylvia Thomas was styled as Baroness Harlech on 14 February 1964.
