Brigadier Mark Stuart Ker Maunsell was born on 24 July 1910 at Falmouth, Cornwall, England.1,3 He was the son of Ernest Oliver Henry Maunsell and Winifred Alice Ker.4 He married Ruth Hunter Mason, daughter of T. A. C. Mason, on 2 September 1939.1 He died on 30 July 1980 at age 70 at Andover, Hampshire, England.2
He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Palestine Campaign in 1936.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was Garrison Chief of Staff of the Hong Kong in 1940.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1943.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1945.1 He fought in the French Indo-China Campaign between 1945 and 1946.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Artillery.1 He lived in 1976 at Hurst Lodge, Hurstbourne Tarrant, Andover, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
