     John Maunsell was born in 1575.¹ He was the son of Thomas Maunsell and Agnes Morton.² He married Katherine Ward, daughter of Sir Richard Ward, in 1601.¹ He died on 19 October 1625.¹ He was buried at Bromley, Kent, England^G.¹
     He matriculated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 27 October 1592.¹ He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1594 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.¹ He lived at Balney Manor, Chicheley, Buckinghamshire, England^G, (later called Grange Farm.)¹

     Sir Richard Ward held the office of Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth I.¹ He lived at Hurst House, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Katherine Ward is the daughter of Sir Richard Ward.² She married John Maunsell, son of Thomas Maunsell and Agnes Morton, in 1601.¹
     From 1601, her married name became Maunsell.

     Thomas Ward Maunsell was born in 1602.¹ He was the son of John Maunsell and Katherine Ward.² He died in 1606.¹

     John Maunsell was born on 12 March 1604/5.¹ He was the son of John Maunsell and Katherine Ward.² He married Susanna Phipps, daughter of Humphrey Phipps and Dorothy Mordaunt, in 1626.¹ He died on 2 May 1677 at age 72.¹
     In 1622 he purchased the Manor, Rectory and Estate of Thorpe Malsor from John and George Watkyn.¹ He lived at Woodford, Essex, England^G.¹ He lived at Thorpe Malsor, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹

     Humphrey Phipps married Dorothy Mordaunt, daughter of Henry Mordaunt.¹

     Susanna Phipps is the daughter of Humphrey Phipps and Dorothy Mordaunt.^2,1 She married John Maunsell, son of John Maunsell and Katherine Ward, in 1626.¹
     From 1626, her married name became Maunsell.

     Robert Maunsell was born in 1629.¹ He was the son of John Maunsell and Susanna Phipps.² He married Judith Brooke, daughter of Thomas Brooke and Margaret Walter, in 1656.¹ He died on 27 May 1705, without surviving issue.¹
     He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1649.¹ His last will was dated 1704 leaving, his estate of Thorpe Malsor to his nephew, Robert Maunsell, with remainder to his cousin, Thomas Maunsell.¹ He lived at Thorpe Malsor, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹
