     Sir Charles John Spinney Hobhouse, 7th Bt. was born on 27 October 1963.² He is the son of Sir Charles Chisholm Hobhouse, 6th Bt. and Elspeth Jean Spinney.² He married, firstly, Katrina Macarthur-Onslow, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Denzil Macarthur-Onslow and Dorothy Wolseley Scott, on 5 June 1993.² He and Katrina Macarthur-Onslow were divorced in 1997.² He married, secondly, Annette Welshman, daughter of Frank Samuel Welshman, on 16 October 2009.³
