     He was educated at Tabley House School, Knutsford, Cheshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at The Old Forge, Stone in Oxney, Kent, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke, co. Salop. [U.K., 1842] on 17 March 2003.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baron Hill of Almaraz and of Hardwicke, co. Salop. [U.K., 1816] on 17 March 2003.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Hill [G.B., 1727] on 17 March 2003.²

     Samuel Wood was born on 24 January 1819.¹ He was the son of John Wood and Alice Hill.² He married Anne Kershaw Sidebottom, daughter of William Sidebottom, on 21 April 1869.¹ He died on 8 April 1888 at age 69.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Moorfield, Glossop, Derbyshire, England^G.¹

     Anne Kershaw Sidebottom was the daughter of William Sidebottom.² She married Samuel Wood, son of John Wood and Alice Hill, on 21 April 1869.¹ She died on 8 March 1914.¹

     Sir Gavin Maxwell of Calderwood was the son of Sir John Maxwell of Calderwood and Janet Boyd.² He married Elizabeth (?)¹ He died in 1492.¹

He married Mafalda Margarethe Prinzessin von Hessen-Kassel, daughter of Moritz Friedrich Karl Emanuel Humbert Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel and Tatiana Louise Ursula Therese Elsa Prinzessin zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, on 14 July 2000 at Rome, Italy^G.¹ He and Mafalda Margarethe Prinzessin von Hessen-Kassel were divorced in 2014.³

     John Boyd is the son of Robert Boyd, 1st Lord Boyd of Kilmarnock and Mariot Maxwell.¹

     Janet Boyd is the daughter of Sir Thomas Boyd, 5th of Kilmarnock.¹ She married Sir John Maxwell of Calderwood, son of Sir John Maxwell, 5th of Calderwood and 1st of Newark and Margaret Borthwick.²
     Her married name became Maxwell.² She was also known as Marion.¹

     Sir Wilfred William Hill Hill-Wood was born on 8 September 1901.¹ He is the son of Sir Samuel Hill-Wood, 1st Bt. and Hon. Rachel Anne Selina Decima Bateman-Hanbury.² He married Diana Marian Wyld, daughter of Major Hugh Wyld, on 30 April 1947.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1946.¹ He was managing director of Morgan Grenfell.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1976.¹
