     Mary Bushall is the daughter of Nicholas Bushall.² She married Henry Tempest, son of John Tempest and Katherine Duckenfield.¹
     Her married name became Tempest.

     Sir John Tempest, 1st Bt. was born in 1645.¹ He was the son of Henry Tempest and Mary Bushall.² He married Henrietta Cholmley, daughter of Sir Henry Cholmley, before January 1664/65.¹ He died on 23 June 1693.¹
     He was created 1st Baronet Tempest [England] on 25 May 1664.¹ He had three elder sons, who all died young.¹

     Sir Henry Cholmley was born in 1609.² He was the son of Sir Richard Cholmley and Susanna Legard.² He married Katharine Stapleton, daughter of Henry Stapleton, circa 1638.² He died in 1666.²
     He lived at West Newton Grange, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Malton in 1641.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Appleby in 1660.²

     Henrietta Cholmley is the daughter of Sir Henry Cholmley.² She married Sir John Tempest, 1st Bt., son of Henry Tempest and Mary Bushall, before January 1664/65.¹
     From before January 1664/65, her married name became Tempest.

     Sir George Tempest, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 22 March 1672.¹ He was the son of Sir John Tempest, 1st Bt. and Henrietta Cholmley.² He married Anne Ashton, daughter of Edward Ashton, on 19 October 1694.¹ He died circa October 1745.¹ He was buried on 11 October 1745.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Tempest [E., 1664] on 23 June 1693.¹ In 1702 he carried out alterations to Tong Hall.¹ He had three younger sons and a daughter.¹

     Edward Ashton lived at Campsall, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was also known as Edward Frank.¹

     Anne Ashton was the daughter of Edward Ashton.² She married Sir George Tempest, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Tempest, 1st Bt. and Henrietta Cholmley, on 19 October 1694.¹ She died in 1746.¹
     From 19 October 1694, her married name became Tempest.

     Sir Henry Tempest, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 1 September 1696.¹ He was the son of Sir George Tempest, 2nd Bt. and Anne Ashton.² He married Maria Holmes, daughter of Francis Holmes, on 31 August 1749.¹ He died on 9 November 1753 at age 57.¹
     He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Tempest [E., 1664] circa October 1745.¹ He lived at Campsall, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Francis Holmes lived at Wigston, Leicestershire, England^G.¹

     Maria Holmes is the daughter of Francis Holmes.² She married Sir Henry Tempest, 3rd Bt., son of Sir George Tempest, 2nd Bt. and Anne Ashton, on 31 August 1749.¹
     From 31 August 1749, her married name became Tempest.
