     Maria Talbot is the daughter of Sir Thomas Talbot.² She married Sir Richard Tempest, son of Sir John Tempest and Katherine Sherburne.¹
     Her married name became Tempest.

     Sir Richard Tempest was born in 1356.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Tempest and Maria Talbot.² He married, firstly, Gemelyn Grassus, daughter of John Grassus.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret de Stainforth, daughter of Robert de Stainforth.¹
     He was appointed Knight before 1380.¹ He held the office of Warden of Roxburgh Castle in 1385.¹ He held the office of Warden of Berwick in 1386.¹ He was Lieutenant of Carlisle Castle in 1396.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lancashire in 1401.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Yorskhire in 1403.¹ He was He held a command in Aquitaine during the Hundred Years War.¹ He fought in the Battle of Agincourt in 1415.¹

     John Grassus lived at Gemelyn.¹ John Grassus also went by the nick-name of John ‘the Fat’.¹

     Gemelyn Grassus is the daughter of John Grassus.² She married Sir Richard Tempest, son of Sir Richard Tempest and Maria Talbot.¹
     Her married name became Tempest. In 1385 one of these supposed wives was abducted by the Scots.¹

     Sir Piers Tempest was the son of Sir Richard Tempest and Gemelyn Grassus.² He married Grace de Hebden, daughter of Sir Nicholas de Hebden, circa 1400.¹ He died circa 1417.¹
     He fought in the Battle of Agincourt, presumably served in that campaign.¹ He was appointed Knight on 24 October 1415.¹ He lived at Bracewell, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was commander of the troops in France in 1417.¹

     Grace de Hebden is the daughter of Sir Nicholas de Hebden.¹ She married, firstly, Sir Piers Tempest, son of Sir Richard Tempest and Gemelyn Grassus, circa 1400.¹ She married, secondly, Sir William Frank in 1422.¹ She married, thirdly, Thomas Darcy in 1434.¹
     From circa 1400, her married name became Tempest. From 1422, her married name became Frank.¹ From 1434, her married name became Darcy.¹

     Sir John Tempest is the son of Sir Piers Tempest and Grace de Hebden.² He married Alice Sherburne, daughter of Sir Robert Sherburne.¹
     He lived at Bracewell, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1440.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1456.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1459.¹

     Sir Robert Sherburne lived at Stonyhurst, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     Alice Sherburne is the daughter of Sir Robert Sherburne.² She married Sir John Tempest, son of Sir Piers Tempest and Grace de Hebden.¹
     Her married name became Tempest.
