     He was feudal Lord of Waddington before 1268.¹ Before 1272 he held land in Bracewell, Keighley, Laycock, Rilleston, Skipton and Stock.¹ He was appointed Knight before 1277.¹ He lived at Bracewell, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Alice de Waddington was the daughter of Walter de Waddington.¹ She married Sir Roger Tempest, son of Sir Richard Tempest.¹ She died on 8 March 1301/2.¹
     Her married name became Tempest.

     Richard Tempest was born before 1246.¹ He was the son of Sir Roger Tempest and Alice de Waddington.² He died on 29 September 1297.¹

     Sir John Tempest was born on 24 August 1283.¹ He was the son of Richard Tempest.² He married Margaret de Holand.¹ He died in 1359.¹
     In 1313 he sided with Thomas, Earl of Lancaster in his attempt to overthrow King Edward II’s favourite Piers Gaveston, pardoned for this, and again in 1322 (this time after joining Lancaster against other favourites, the Despensers.)¹ Before 1316 joint holder of the feudal Lordships of Bracewell, Stock and Waddington.¹ He lived at Bracewell, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Eleanor la Zouche is the daughter of William la Zouche, 3rd Baron Zouche (of Haryngworth) and Elizabeth Despenser.¹ She married John Lovel, 6th Lord Lovel (of Titchmarsh), son of John Lovell, 5th Lord Lovell and Maud de Holand, Baroness Holand.¹
     Her married name became Lovel.¹

     Margaret de Holand married Sir John Tempest, son of Richard Tempest.¹
     Her married name became Tempest.

     Sir John Tempest is the son of Sir John Tempest and Margaret de Holand.² He married Katherine Sherburne, daughter of Sir Robert Sherburne and Alice de Blackburne.¹
     He lived at Bracewell, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was appointed Knight before 1349.¹

     Sir Robert Sherburne married Alice de Blackburne, daughter of Sir John de Blackburne and Margaret de Holand.²
     He lived at Mitton, Yorkshire, England.²
