He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Second World War, he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Pollen, of Redenham, co. Hampshire [G.B., 1795] on 14 March 1959.2 He lived at Manor House, Rodbourne, Wiltshire, England.2

In 1400 he held Dalhousie Castle against the English.1 He fought in the Battle of Homildon Hill on 14 September 1402.1
