     Sir John Michael Hungerford Pollen, 7th Bt. was born on 6 April 1919.2 He was the son of John Francis Hungerford Pollen and Marguerite Wallis.2 He married, firstly, Angela Mary Oriana Russi, daughter of Major Felix John Russi, on 10 May 1941.2 He and Angela Mary Oriana Russi were divorced in 1956.2 He married, secondly, Diana Alice Jubb Timbrell, daughter of Albert Edward Timbrell, on 8 January 1957.2 He died on 13 February 2003 at age 83.3
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Second World War, he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Pollen, of Redenham, co. Hampshire [G.B., 1795] on 14 March 1959.2 He lived at Manor House, Rodbourne, Wiltshire, England.2

     Sir Alexander Ramsay of Dalhousie was the son of Alexander Ramsay of Carnock.1 He died on 14 September 1402, killed in action.1
     In 1400 he held Dalhousie Castle against the English.1 He fought in the Battle of Homildon Hill on 14 September 1402.1
