     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Maxwell, of Calderwood [N.S., 1627] on 30 April 1703, although he did not assume the title.1

Margaret Henderson1

     Margaret Henderson was the daughter of James Henderson, 3rd of Fordell and Jean Murray.2 She married William Echlin of Pittadro, son of Henry Echlin of Pittadro and Grizel Colville.1 She died in December 1649, she was accused of witchcraft and was found dead in prison, while awaiting trial.1
     Her married name became Echlin. In July 1649 (an unknown value.)1
