     George Leonard Nelson Hope was born on 21 October 1884.¹ He was the son of Charles Hope and Leonora Louisa Isabella Orde.² He married Honoria Mary Victoria Riddell, daughter of John Giffard Riddell, on 29 December 1908.¹ He died in June 1974 at age 89.¹
     He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1905 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was assistant master in 1908 at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was with the Foreign Office between 1919 and 1946.¹

     John Giffard Riddell was born on 10 January 1830.² He was the son of Thomas Ralph Riddell and Mary Throckmorton.² He died on 22 November 1901 at age 71.²
     He lived at Felton Park, Northumberland, England^G.¹

     Honoria Mary Victoria Riddell was the daughter of John Giffard Riddell.² She married George Leonard Nelson Hope, son of Charles Hope and Leonora Louisa Isabella Orde, on 29 December 1908.¹ She died on 29 January 1968.¹
     From 29 December 1908, her married name became Hope.

     Sir Charles Peter Hope was born on 29 May 1912.¹ He was the son of George Leonard Nelson Hope and Honoria Mary Victoria Riddell.² He married Hazel Mary Turner, daughter of G. L. Turner, on 15 February 1936.¹ He died on 12 March 1999 at age 86.¹

     Hazel Mary Turner was the daughter of G. L. Turner.¹ She married Sir Charles Peter Hope, son of George Leonard Nelson Hope and Honoria Mary Victoria Riddell, on 15 February 1936.¹ She died on 8 October 2001.¹
     From 15 February 1936, her married name became Hope.¹

     Charles Jeremy Hope was born on 20 July 1937.¹ He is the son of Sir Charles Peter Hope and Hazel Mary Turner.² He married Judith Ann Pearce, daughter of Harold T. Pearce, on 18 February 1961.¹
     Charles Jeremy Hope usually went by his middle name of Jeremy.¹ He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He lived in 2003 at Netherhill, Awbridge, Romsey, Hampshire, England^G.¹
