     Alida Maria Porteous was born at IndiaG.2 She was the daughter of Surgn.-Gen. H. W. Porteous.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Woulfe Hay, son of Colonel Thomas Pasley Hay and Georgette Heine Arnaud, on 3 February 1863.1 She died on 21 November 1906.1
     From 3 February 1863, her married name became Hay.

     Lt.-Col. Henry Thomas Horatio Hay was born on 7 December 1863.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Woulfe Hay and Alida Maria Porteous.1 He married Mary Margaret Corser, daughter of Reverend George James Corser, on 8 April 1896.1 He died on 14 October 1934 at age 70.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Army.1
