     James Edward Laird Graham was born on 18 December 1936.¹ He is the son of James Porter Graham and Violet Maude Laird. He married Joyce Margaret Connor, daughter of Walter Connor, on 24 April 1963.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Ardfoyle, Forthill, Lisburn, County Antrim, Ireland^G.¹

     Joyce Margaret Connor is the daughter of Walter Connor. She married James Edward Laird Graham, son of James Porter Graham and Violet Maude Laird, on 24 April 1963.¹
     From 24 April 1963, her married name became Graham.
