     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was an assistant master between 1924 and 1961 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Johanna Countess Bothmer married Hugh Alexander Haworth, son of Alfred Haworth and Elizabeth Anne MacGowan, on 6 April 1935.¹ She died on 25 April 1962.¹
     Her married name became Haworth.

     Leslie Haworth is the son of Alfred Haworth and Elizabeth Anne MacGowan.² He married Eleanor Arkwright, daughter of Sir Joseph Arkwright, on 9 December 1939.¹
