     Arthur Edmund Spender was the son of Edward Spender.² He married Helen Frances Champernowne, daughter of Arthur Champernowne and Helen Elizabeth Caroline Melville, on 26 April 1906.¹ He died in 1923.¹

     Agnes Dorothy Champernowne was the daughter of Arthur Champernowne and Helen Elizabeth Caroline Melville.² She married Alexander Napier Melville, son of Judge unknown Melville, on 5 August 1920.¹ She died on 26 September 1964.¹
     From 5 August 1920, her married name became Melville.

     Alexander Napier Melville was the son of Judge unknown Melville.² He married Agnes Dorothy Champernowne, daughter of Arthur Champernowne and Helen Elizabeth Caroline Melville, on 5 August 1920.¹ He died on 12 April 1950.¹

     Colonel Henry Champernowne was born on 21 May 1840 at Totnes, Devon, England.^1,2 He was the son of Henry Champernowne and Charlotte Buller.³ He married Elizabeth Charlotte Murray, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Thomas Andrew Lumsden Murray and Elizabeth Fisher, on 30 August 1880.¹ He died on 20 September 1917 at age 77, without issue.¹ He was also reported to have died on 24 September 1917 at Plymouth, Devon, England.²
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.¹ He lived at Pound, England^G.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Thomas Andrew Lumsden Murray was born on 20 March 1825 at Eddlestone, Peebles-shire, Scotland.^2,3 He was the son of James Wolfe Murray, Lord Cringletie and Isabella Katherina Strange.² He married Elizabeth Fisher, daughter of John Carlton Fisher and Elinor Isabella Auchmerty, in 1849 at Quebec, Canada.^2,3 He died on 3 October 1893 at age 68 at Surrey, England.^2,3
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Engineers.²

     Elizabeth Charlotte Murray was born circa 1855 at Manchester, Lancashire, England.² She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Thomas Andrew Lumsden Murray and Elizabeth Fisher.³ She married Colonel Henry Champernowne, son of Henry Champernowne and Charlotte Buller, on 30 August 1880.¹ She died on 7 August 1928.¹ She was also reported to have died on 29 July 1928 at Hospital Cochin, Paris, France.²
     From 30 August 1880, her married name became Champernowne.

     Reverend Walter Champernowne was born on 3 September 1848.¹ He was the son of Henry Champernowne and Charlotte Buller.² He married Elizabeth Mary Spottiswoode, daughter of George Andrew Spottiswoode, on 14 November 1905.¹ He died on 4 February 1929 at age 80.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He lived at Pound, England^G.¹

     William Scott married Charlotte Wilhelmina Murray, daughter of Lord Henry Murray and Eliza Kent.¹
     He was Receiver of Customs of the Isle of Man.¹

     Elizabeth Mary Spottiswoode was the daughter of George Andrew Spottiswoode.² She married Reverend Walter Champernowne, son of Henry Champernowne and Charlotte Buller, on 14 November 1905.¹ She died on 14 March 1949.¹
     From 14 November 1905, her married name became Champernowne.
