He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Kildare between 1761 and 1783.1 He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was admitted to Kings’ Inns in 1775.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Harberton [I., 1791] on 9 April 1798.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Harberton of Carbery, co. Kildare [I., 1783] on 9 April 1798.1

Mary Grady1 
Mary Grady was born in 1764.2 She was the daughter of Nicholas Grady.3 She married Henry Pomeroy, 2nd Viscount Harberton, son of Arthur Pomeroy, 1st Viscount Harberton and Mary Colley, on 20 January 1778.1 She died on 22 January 1823.1
From 20 January 1778, her married name became Pomeroy. After her marriage, Mary Grady was styled as Viscountess Harberton on 9 April 1798.
