     Hugh Martin Alers Hankey was born on 27 November 1872.¹ He was the son of Robert Alers Hankey and Helena A. Bakewell.² He was born circa 1873 at South Australia, Australia^G.^3,4,5 He died on 18 February 1900 at age 27 at Paardeburg, South Africa^G, killed in action.¹
     He lived in 1881 at Brighton, Sussex, England^G.^4,5 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1897 and 1898 in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, and Egyptian War.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900, with Mounted Infantry.¹

     Victoria Elisabeth King was the daughter of Edmund King.² She married Lancelot Hugh Alers Hankey, son of Clement Theodore Alers Hankey and Amabel Julia Bush, on 2 January 1943.¹ She died on 20 June 1997.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. Oliver Clement Alers Hankey was born on 19 April 1912.¹ He was the son of Clement Theodore Alers Hankey and Amabel Julia Bush.³ He married Mildred Kerkham, daughter of Robert Kerkham, on 27 June 1940.¹ He died on 8 November 1995 at age 83 at Surrey, England.²
