     Charles Herbert Brent Grotrian was born on 7 November 1902.¹ He was the son of Sir Herbert Brent Grotrian, 1st Bt. and Mary Lilian Adams.² He married Aileen Georgina Etlinger, daughter of George Ernest Etlinger, on 28 February 1936.¹ He died on 9 May 1944 at age 41 at Burma^G, killed in action.¹

     Aileen Georgina Etlinger was the daughter of George Ernest Etlinger.² She married Charles Herbert Brent Grotrian, son of Sir Herbert Brent Grotrian, 1st Bt. and Mary Lilian Adams, on 28 February 1936.¹ She died in 1987.¹
     From 28 February 1936, her married name became Grotrian.

     Charlotte Elizabeth Grotrian was born on 9 November 1941.¹ She is the daughter of Charles Herbert Brent Grotrian and Aileen Georgina Etlinger.²
     She lived in 2003 at 17 Hogarth Road, Hove, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Sir John Appelbe Brent Grotrian, 2nd Bt. was born on 16 February 1904.¹ He was the son of Sir Herbert Brent Grotrian, 1st Bt. and Mary Lilian Adams.² He died on 6 February 1984 at age 79, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Grotrian, of Leighton Buzzard, co. Bedford [U.K., 1934] on 28 October 1951.¹
