     Sir Denzil Cope, 14th Bt. was born on 18 September 1873.² He was the son of Sir Anthony Cope, 13th Bt. and Mary Leckonby Phipps.² He married Edna Frances Hilton, daughter of Edward Banker Hilton, on 14 July 1922.^3,2 He died on 3 June 1940 at age 66.^3,2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Hampshire regiment.² He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.² He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Cope, of Hanwell, co. Oxford [E., 1611] on 3 November 1932.²

     Joan Penelope Cope was born on 1 January 1926.² She was the daughter of Sir Denzil Cope, 14th Bt. and Edna Frances Hilton.^3,2 She married Sir Duncan Alexander Grant of Dalvey, 13th Bt., son of Alexander Lovett Grant and Mary Angela Mackenzie, on 3 August 1949.¹ She died in 1991.¹
     From 3 August 1949, her married name became Grant. She was a poet, author and translator.²

     Sir Patrick Alexander Benedict Grant of Dalvey, 14th Bt. was born on 5 February 1953.² He is the son of Sir Duncan Alexander Grant of Dalvey, 13th Bt. and Joan Penelope Cope.² He married Dr. Carolyn Elizabeth Highet, daughter of Dr. John Highet, in 1981.²
     He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Grant, of Dalvey [N.S., 1688] on 25 March 1961.¹ He was educated in 1961 at St. Conleth’s College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.² He was educated at The Abbey School, Fort Augustus, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G.² He graduated from Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G, in 1981 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)² He was founder and managing director of Grants of Dalvey Ltd in 1988.² He lived in 2003 at Tomintoul House, Flichity, Farr, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G.²

     Denzil Mohun Bede Grant was born on 19 April 1955.¹ He is the son of Sir Duncan Alexander Grant of Dalvey, 13th Bt. and Joan Penelope Cope.² He married Nicola Savill, daughter of A. T. Savill, on 1 January 1977.¹
