Anastasia Robinson is the daughter of Thomas Robinson.2 She married General Charles Mordaunt, 3rd Earl of Peterborough, son of John Mordaunt, 1st Viscount Mordaunt of Avalon and Elizabeth Carey, circa 1735 in a secretly marriage.1,2
She had for some time before her marriage been under the protection of her future husband.2 She was a singer and stage performer.2 From circa 1735, her married name became Mordaunt.1 After her marriage, Anastasia Robinson was styled as Countess of Peterborough circa 1735. She is thought to have been the first bride from this class of person to be selected by a British peer.2
