Azzo VIII d‘Este, Marchese d’Este was the son of Obizzo I d‘Este, Marchese d’Este and Costanza della Scala.1,2 He married Beatrice d‘Anjou, daughter of Charles II d‘Anjou, King of Naples and Maria von Ungarn, in 1305. He died on 31 January 1308.2
