     Frances Poley was the daughter of George Weller Poley.² She married Sir Richard Gethin, 6th Bt., son of Captain Richard Gethin and Jane South, on 25 June 1846.¹ She and Sir Richard Gethin, 6th Bt. were divorced in January 1862.¹ She died on 27 August 1906.¹
     From 25 June 1846, her married name became Gethin.

     Sir Richard Charles Percy Gethin, 7th Bt. was born on 30 November 1847.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Gethin, 6th Bt. and Frances Poley.² He married Catherine Cowie Scott, daughter of Frederick Edward Burton Scott and Harriet Cowie, on 5 June 1876.¹ He died on 17 June 1921 at age 73.²
     He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Gethin, of Gethins Grot, co. Cork [I., 1665] in 1885.¹ He gained the rank of Captain and Honorary Major in the 4th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.¹

     Walter William St. Lawrence Gethin was born on 25 July 1850.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Gethin, 6th Bt. and Frances Poley.² He died in June 1870 at age 19.¹

     Frederick Edward Burton Scott was born in 1819.² He married Harriet Cowie circa 1847.² He died in 1893.²
     He lived at Claughton, Cheshire, England^G.¹

     Catherine Cowie Scott was born in 1849.² She was the daughter of Frederick Edward Burton Scott and Harriet Cowie.^3,2 She married Sir Richard Charles Percy Gethin, 7th Bt., son of Sir Richard Gethin, 6th Bt. and Frances Poley, on 5 June 1876.¹ She died on 16 December 1932.¹
     From 5 June 1876, her married name became Gethin.

     Charles Heygate is the son of Thomas Heygate and Belinda Snelson.¹

     Major Frederic Durrant Scott Gethin was born on 19 October 1879.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Charles Percy Gethin, 7th Bt. and Catherine Cowie Scott.² He married Margaret Cecilia Forrest, daughter of L. R. W. Forrest, on 12 June 1915.¹ He died on 20 January 1959 at age 79.¹
     He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major and Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Margaret Cecilia Forrest was the daughter of L. R. W. Forrest.¹ She married Major Frederic Durrant Scott Gethin, son of Sir Richard Charles Percy Gethin, 7th Bt. and Catherine Cowie Scott, on 12 June 1915.¹ She died on 14 June 1955.¹
     From 12 June 1915, her married name became Gethin.

     John Amory Forrest Gethin was born on 16 February 1916 at London, England.^1,2 He was the son of Major Frederic Durrant Scott Gethin and Margaret Cecilia Forrest.³ He married Barbara Damarel Cicely Westlake, daughter of Alan Robert Cecil Westlake, on 12 May 1941 at Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.^1,2 He died on 8 May 1965 at age 49 at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.^1,2 His will was proven (by probate) on 23 October 1967 at Victoria, Australia.²
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1938 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was with the Foreign Service between 1939 and 1959.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1948 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹
