     Johanna Agnes Forbes was baptised on 10 December 1819 at St. George the Martyr, Queen Square. She was the daughter of John Hopton Forbes and Johanna Catherine Heath.^2,3 She married George Forbes, son of Sir Charles Forbes of Newe, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Cotgrave, on 16 March 1843.¹

     George Battye lived at Campden Hill, Scotland^G.¹

     Caroline Battye was the daughter of George Battye.² She married Sir Charles Forbes of Newe, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Charles Forbes of Newe, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Cotgrave, on 21 August 1830.¹ She died on 6 September 1877.¹
     From 21 August 1830, her married name became Forbes.

     Etienne Chappuis, Seigneur de la Bernardiere is the son of Louis Chappuis and Drevonne de Genas.¹

     Joffrey Chappuis is the son of Louis Chappuis and Drevonne de Genas.¹

     Jeannette Chappuis is the daughter of Louis Chappuis and Drevonne de Genas.¹ She married Jean de la Colombiere.¹
     Her married name became de la Colombiere.¹

     Sir Charles Stewart Forbes of Newe, 5th Bt. was born on 19 January 1867.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles John Forbes of Newe, 4th Bt. and Helen Moncreiffe.² He married Emma Theodora Maxwell, daughter of Robert Maxwell, on 2 July 1888.¹ He died on 12 December 1927 at age 60.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Forbes, of Newe [U.K., 1823] on 24 July 1884.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Volunteer Battalion, Gordon Highlanders.¹

     Emma Theodora Maxwell was the daughter of Robert Maxwell.² She married Sir Charles Stewart Forbes of Newe, 5th Bt., son of Sir Charles John Forbes of Newe, 4th Bt. and Helen Moncreiffe, on 2 July 1888.¹ She died on 14 November 1953.¹
     From 2 July 1888, her married name became Forbes.

     Sir John Stewart Forbes of Newe, 6th Bt. was born on 8 January 1901.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Stewart Forbes of Newe, 5th Bt. and Emma Theodora Maxwell.² He married Agnes Jessie Wilson-Farquharson, daughter of Lt.-Col. David Lorraine Wilson-Farquharson, on 10 October 1933.¹ He died on 23 July 1984 at age 83.^1,3
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Forbes, of Newe [U.K., 1823] on 12 December 1927.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1940.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aberdeenshire in 1953.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Aberdeenshire in 1954.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.¹ He was Honorary Colonel of the 51st (H) Division between 1960 and 1967.¹ He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire between 1973 and 1984.¹
