     Hon. John ffrench was born on 5 August 1812.¹ He was the son of Charles Austin ffrench, 3rd Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench and Maria Browne.² He died on 31 May 1873 at age 60.¹
     He was a Roman Catholic priest.¹

     Martin Joseph ffrench, 5th Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench was born on 1 October 1813.¹ He was the son of Charles Austin ffrench, 3rd Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench and Maria Browne.² He married Catherine Mary Anne O’Shaughnessy, daughter of John O’Shaughnessy and Ellen Brabazon, on 2 July 1862.¹ He died on 2 November 1893 at age 80.¹
     He was a practising barrister.² He held the office of Resident Magistrate of County Tipperary between 1846 and 1882.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench, co. Galway [I., 1798] on 20 January 1892.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet ffrench, of Castle ffrench, co. Galway [I., 1779] on 20 January 1892.¹

     Edmund Whitehead married Catherine ffrench, daughter of Sir Charles ffrench, 1st Bt. and Rose Dillon, Baroness ffrench of Castle ffrench, in 1804.¹

     Elizabeth Tompkins married David Geoffrey Nigel Filkin, Baron Filkin, son of Donald Geoffrey Filkin and Winifred Underwood, in 1974.¹ She and David Geoffrey Nigel Filkin, Baron Filkin were divorced in 1994.¹
     From 1974, her married name became Filkin.¹ She was Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards between 1999 and 2002.¹

     John O’Shaughnessy married Ellen Brabazon, daughter of Anthony Brabazon and Catherine ffrench.²
     He lived at Birchgrove, County Galway, Ireland^G.¹

     Catherine Mary Anne O’Shaughnessy was the daughter of John O’Shaughnessy and Ellen Brabazon.² She married Martin Joseph ffrench, 5th Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench, son of Charles Austin ffrench, 3rd Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench and Maria Browne, on 2 July 1862.¹ She died on 6 March 1908.¹
     From 2 July 1862, her married name became ffrench. After her marriage, Catherine Mary Anne O’Shaughnessy was styled as Baroness ffrench of Castle ffrench on 20 January 1892.

     Charles Austin Thomas Robert ffrench, 6th Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench was born on 20 June 1868.¹ He was the son of Martin Joseph ffrench, 5th Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench and Catherine Mary Anne O’Shaughnessy.² He married, firstly, Margaret Corbally, daughter of Matthew James Corbally, on 1 September 1892.¹ He married, secondly, Catherine Elizabeth Nixon, daughter of Sir Christopher John Nixon, 1st Bt. and Mary Agnes Blake, on 8 June 1951.¹ He died on 4 March 1955 at age 86, without surviving male issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench, co. Galway [I., 1798] on 2 November 1893.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet ffrench, of Castle ffrench, co. Galway [I., 1779] on 2 November 1893.¹

     Matthew James Corbally lived at Rathbeale Hall, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹

     Margaret Corbally was the daughter of Matthew James Corbally.² She married Charles Austin Thomas Robert ffrench, 6th Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench, son of Martin Joseph ffrench, 5th Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench and Catherine Mary Anne O’Shaughnessy, on 1 September 1892.¹ She died on 27 May 1944.¹
     From 1 September 1892, her married name became ffrench. After her marriage, Margaret Corbally was styled as Baroness ffrench of Castle ffrench on 2 November 1893.

     Hon. Martin Joseph Mathew ffrench was born on 26 July 1893.¹ He was the son of Charles Austin Thomas Robert ffrench, 6th Baron ffrench of Castle ffrench and Margaret Corbally.² He died on 26 January 1894.¹
