     Martin William Browne ffolkes was born on 19 July 1849.¹ He was the son of Martin William Browne ffolkes and Henrietta Bridget Wale.² He married Wilhelmine Mary Emily Brett, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Davy Brett, on 28 January 1882.¹ He died on 3 November 1901 at age 52.¹
     He was Civil Engineer.¹

     Lt.-Col. John Davy Brett gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 17th Lancers.¹

     Wilhelmine Mary Emily Brett was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John Davy Brett.² She married Martin William Browne ffolkes, son of Martin William Browne ffolkes and Henrietta Bridget Wale, on 28 January 1882.¹ She died on 1 November 1943.¹
     From 28 January 1882, her married name became ffolkes.

     Audrey ffolkes was the daughter of Martin William Browne ffolkes and Wilhelmine Mary Emily Brett.² She married, firstly, Reverend Alfred Edward Alston on 14 November 1912.¹ She married, secondly, W. Lincolne Sutton on 25 August 1932.¹ She died on 1 July 1966.¹
     From 14 November 1912, her married name became Alston. From 25 August 1932, her married name became Sutton.¹

     Reverend Alfred Edward Alston married Audrey ffolkes, daughter of Martin William Browne ffolkes and Wilhelmine Mary Emily Brett, on 14 November 1912.¹ He died on 13 May 1927.¹

     Barbara ffolkes was born on 2 April 1884.¹ She was the daughter of Martin William Browne ffolkes and Wilhelmine Mary Emily Brett.² She married, firstly, Captain Francis Joseph Cresswell on 23 February 1911.¹ She married, secondly, General Sir Edward Peter Strickland on 17 July 1918.¹ She died on 20 March 1977 at age 92.¹
     From 23 February 1911, her married name became Cresswell. From 17 July 1918, her married name became Strickland.¹ She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1923.¹

     Captain Francis Joseph Cresswell married Barbara ffolkes, daughter of Martin William Browne ffolkes and Wilhelmine Mary Emily Brett, on 23 February 1911.¹ He died on 23 August 1914, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Norfolk Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹
