     John Wynne Bankes was born in 1916.2 He was the son of Robert Wynne Bankes and Mabel Elizabeth Pelham-Burn.3 He married Althea Dykes Spicer, daughter of Sir Dykes Spicer, 2nd Bt. and Alice Frances Mary Morrison, on 12 February 1945.2 He died on 24 February 2009.4
     He lived at St. John’s Wood, London, EnglandG.1
