     He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Bombay between 1882 and 1885.¹ He lived in 1890 at Auchentorlie, Dunbartonshire, Scotland^G.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Scots Fusiliers.¹

     Grace Hamilton was the daughter of Claud Hamilton of Barns.² She married George James Fergusson-Buchanan of Auchentorlie, son of George Hermand Fergusson and Georgina Grace Buchanan, on 8 December 1886.¹ She died on 21 November 1935.¹
     From 8 December 1886, her married name became Fergusson.

     Noel Grace Fergusson-Buchanan was the daughter of George James Fergusson-Buchanan of Auchentorlie and Grace Hamilton.² She married Major Colin Charles Forbes Mackenzie of Portmore on 21 June 1914.¹ She died on 1 September 1960, without issue.¹
     From 21 June 1914, her married name became Mackenzie.¹

     Major Colin Charles Forbes Mackenzie of Portmore married Noel Grace Fergusson-Buchanan, daughter of George James Fergusson-Buchanan of Auchentorlie and Grace Hamilton, on 21 June 1914.¹ He died in 1943.¹

     Avril Nora Fergusson-Buchanan is the daughter of George James Fergusson-Buchanan of Auchentorlie and Grace Hamilton.² She married Commander Mervyn Boyd Alexander-Sinclair, son of Admiral Sir Edwyn Sinclair Alexander-Sinclair, on 18 October 1921.¹
     From 18 October 1921, her married name became Alexander-Sinclair.

     Bridie McKee is the daughter of Hamilton McKee and Mary Carroll.¹

     Commander Mervyn Boyd Alexander-Sinclair is the son of Admiral Sir Edwyn Sinclair Alexander-Sinclair.² He married Avril Nora Fergusson-Buchanan, daughter of George James Fergusson-Buchanan of Auchentorlie and Grace Hamilton, on 18 October 1921.¹
     He lived at Dorchester, Dorset, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Mary Fergusson was the daughter of George Hermand Fergusson and Jane Gilmour.² She married Captain James Creagh Richard Scott on 19 December 1878.¹ She died on 9 April 1914.¹
