     Alexander Innes was born on 25 April 1846.1 He was the son of Alexander Innes and Ann Katherine Leith.2 He married, firstly, Helen Eythan King, daughter of Reverend Samuel William King, on 31 August 1871.3 He married, secondly, Sylvia Christina Armitage Garrett, daughter of Reverend James Perkins Garrett and Caroline Anne Elisabeth Moore, on 26 June 1878.3 He died on 12 November 1882 at age 36.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 3rd Foot (The Buffs.)3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)3 He lived at Raemoir House, Banchory, Kincardineshire, ScotlandG.1

Helen Eythan King1

     Helen Eythan King was the daughter of Reverend Samuel William King.1 She married Alexander Innes, son of Alexander Innes and Ann Katherine Leith, on 31 August 1871.2 She died on 16 February 1875.1
     From 31 August 1871, her married name became Innes.1
