     Alexander Farquharson, 7th of Invercauld was the son of Robert Farquharson of Invercauld and Margaret Erskine of Pittodrie.2 He married Elizabeth Mackintosh, daughter of William Mackintosh, 18th of Mackintosh and Margaret Graham.2 He died in 1681.2
     He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1672.2
