     Sir William Henry Fairlie-Cuninghame of Robertland, 16th Bt. was born on 1 October 1930.¹ He was the son of Sir William Alan Fairlie-Cuninghame of Robertland, 15th Bt. and Irene Alice Terry.² He married Janet Menzies Saddington, daughter of Roy Menzies Saddington and Margery Manners Dixon, in 1972.¹ He died in 1999.¹
     He succeeded as the 16th Baronet Cuningham, of Robertland, co. Ayr [N.S., 1630] in 1981.¹
