     William Henry Pelly was born on 29 May 1847 at Walthamstow, Essex, England^G.^1,2 He was the son of Albert Pelly and Barbara Ellen Streatfeild.³ He married, firstly, Eleanor Lucy Steele, daughter of John Sisson Steele, on 16 May 1882.¹ He married, secondly, Edith Anne Nash, daughter of W. H. Nash, on 19 September 1907.¹ He died on 14 January 1932 at age 84.¹

     John Sisson Steele lived at Holmfield, Reigate, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)¹

     Eleanor Lucy Steele was the daughter of John Sisson Steele.² She married William Henry Pelly, son of Albert Pelly and Barbara Ellen Streatfeild, on 16 May 1882.¹ She died on 10 April 1883.¹
     From 16 May 1882, her married name became Pelly.

     Russell George Pelly was born on 1 April 1883.¹ He was the son of William Henry Pelly and Eleanor Lucy Steele.² He married Frances Carruthers Gould, daughter of Sir Francis Carruthers Gould, on 10 August 1909.¹ He died on 7 June 1967 at age 84.¹
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal Institute of Chemists (F.R.I.Chem.)¹
