     Adam Johnstone of Elphinstone was the son of Sir Gilbert Johnstone and Agnes Elphinstone.¹ He died between 1506 and 1512.¹

     Sir Gilbert Johnstone was the son of Sir Adam Johnstone of that Ilk and Janet Dunbar.² He married Agnes Elphinstone, daughter of Sir Alexander Elphinstone of that Ilk.¹ He died after 1482.³

     Captain Thomas Collet lived at Barking, Essex, England^G.¹

     Henry Hinde lived at Upton, Essex, England^G.¹

     John Elphinstone of that Ilk and of Pittendriech was the son of James Elphinstone of Pittendriech, younger.² He died after July 1508.¹
     From 1496 to 1497 he was granted charters of his Stirlingshire lands.¹ He resigned his lands to his overlord Patrick, 4th Lord Lindsay of the Byres, to be held direct from the Crown and erected into the territorial Barony of Elphinstone.¹

     Alexander Elphinstone is the son of James Elphinstone of Pittendriech, younger.²

     Henry Creswick married Eugenia Roberts.¹

     William Elphinstone is the son of Sir William Elphinstone of that Ilk.²

     William Elphinstone was the son of William Elphinstone.² He died on 25 October 1514.¹
     He founded King’s College, Aberdeen University.¹ He held the office of Bishop of Aberdeen.¹ He held the office of Chancellor of Scotland in 1488.¹

     Elizabeth Charlotte Hickmore is the daughter of John Hickmore.¹ She married Augustus Pelly, son of John Hinde Pelly and Elizabeth Lewis.¹
     Her married name became Pelly.¹
