     Mary Jane Preston was the daughter of John Preston.² She married Sir Knowles Edge, son of William Edge and Anne Byron Knowles, on 7 April 1880.¹ She died in October 1932.¹
     From 7 April 1880, her married name became Edge.

     Air Chief Marshal Sir Wilfrid Rhodes Freeman, 1st Bt. was born on 18 July 1888.¹ He was the son of William Robert Freeman and Anne Farquhar Carr Dunn.³ He married, firstly, Gladys Mews, daughter of John Mews, on 5 June 1915.¹ He and Gladys Mews were divorced in 1935.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Richmond, daughter of Ernest Tatham Richmond, on 17 April 1935.³ He died on 15 May 1953 at age 64.³
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain and Brevet-Major in the Manchester Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was Deputy Director of Operations and Intelligence, Air Ministry in 1927.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1932.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1937.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1942.¹ He was chief executive of the Ministry of Aircraft Production between 1942 and 1945.¹ He gained the rank of Air Chief Marshal in the Royal Air Force.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Freeman, of Murtle, co. Aberdeen [U.K.] on 4 July 1945.¹

     John Harold Edge was born on 31 July 1888.¹ He was the son of Sir Knowles Edge and Mary Jane Preston.² He married Elizabeth Tudor Brown, daughter of William Brown, on 4 December 1913.¹ He and Elizabeth Tudor Brown were divorced.³ He married Daisy Farrell, daughter of Reginald Farrell, in 1931 at Bangalore, India.³ He died on 18 October 1931 at age 43 at Coonoor, India^G.¹ He was also reported to have died on 12 October 1932.³
     He lived at Ivy House, West Beach, Lytham, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     William Brown lived at Llanfyllin, Montgomeryshire, Wales^G.¹

     Elizabeth Tudor Brown is the daughter of William Brown.² She married John Harold Edge, son of Sir Knowles Edge and Mary Jane Preston, on 4 December 1913.¹ She and John Harold Edge were divorced.³
     From 4 December 1913, her married name became Edge.

     Ira Ickringhill lived at Keighley, Yorkshire, West Riding, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Ada Jane Ickringhill was born circa 1880.¹ She was the daughter of Ira Ickringhill.² She married Sir William Edge, 1st Bt., son of Sir Knowles Edge and Mary Jane Preston, on 9 August 1904.¹ She died on 14 March 1973.¹
     From 9 August 1904, her married name became Edge. She held the office of Member of the Lytham Borough Council in 1929.¹ She held the office of Mayor of Lytham in 1937.¹ She held the office of Mayor of Lytham St. Annes in 1937.¹

     Daryl Leslie Cleeve was born in November 1972.¹ He is the son of William Journeaux Cleeve and Betty Jane Mitchell.¹

     Mary Margaret Edge was born on 24 February 1917.¹ She is the daughter of Sir William Edge, 1st Bt. and Ada Jane Ickringhill.² She married Gilbert Roy Fletcher, son of Alfred Fletcher, on 1 June 1940.¹
     Mary Margaret Edge also went by the nick-name of Peggy.¹ From 1 June 1940, her married name became Fletcher. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Mid-Shropshire in 1961.¹
